What did a few of our famous and heart stopping stars wear to the BAFTA?

Kristen Stewart kept her jewelry subtle, understated and simple. She just had on a diamond bracelet, a ring and diamond studs. Anna Kendrick on the other hand opted for the most beautiful long drop earrings and then, she needed no other jewelry to spike up her bright yellow outfit.

Kate Winslet on the other hand wore the most beautiful of Tiffany diamonds and black jade earrings that offset her black attire to perfection. This offset her peaches and cream complexion in the most beautiful way.

Vanessa Redgrave looked chic and elegant. She opted to wear drop earrings and multiple strands of pearls that gave her the classic and extremely sophisticated look. On the strands of pearls was an intricate, filigreed diamond pendant. She certainly proved that diamonds are a woman’s best friend. Also, that pearls and diamonds can certainly be paired up together to give the most fabulous of effects.

A diamond pendant that will take your breath away is the one that Gabriella Sidibe wore. It was the most beautifully and intricately designed asymmetrical diamond pendant. The design was one of a kind and it was strung on a thin matching chain. The tapering design of twirls and inspired by floral and leaf designs had people gape at it in wonderment. This was one wonderful jewelry piece for certain.

Bring back the Dazzle in your life

With recession and winter far behind us, this is certainly the right time for us to bring out the dazzle and the bling to our dressing. What better way to do this then to add the right amounts of glitter and shimmer to our wardrobe by way of jewelry.

• A statement chunky necklace: there can be nothing more attention drawing than the most fantastic of necklaces at your neck. This could be one expensive piece that might be an heirloom or a piece that you picked up with the right kind of rich textures and shades to it. If you are born with silver or should that be golden spoon or are able to get married to a rich man, you can ask him to buy you a huge solitaire to flash on your finger. Or else you can buy yourself exquisite and delicate diamond studs or dainty diamond bracelets or a diamond pendant. If you were to peep into the jewelry box of any woman you are bound to find a diamond or two within.

The diamond saga continues in the year 2010 too. Especially so on a hot summer afternoon or evening when you want to look cool and unflustered, diamond jewelry is just the right thing to wear. The way the winds of fashion trends for this year are moving, diamonds will continue to remain the unabated victorious ones.

Diamonds look fantastic in any form and the sky is the limit for designing or fashion trends where they are concerned. The sparkle and glitter that diamonds can get your look is incomparable to anything else in this world. They look wonderful as pendants, hoops around your ears and dangling to add that extra zing to life.

Men wore jewelry too at the Oscars 2010

When we think of jewelry we immediately think of women. The focus is usually on women and what jewelry did they use to adorn themselves. But, men were equally visible at the Oscars 2010 wearing their jewelry with style and aplomb.

This year, the photographers were out trying to capture the jewelry that the men had worn and also men did their best to set the new jewelry trends in vogue.

The Oscar co-host Alec Baldwin had worn a pair of Cartier stainless steel and red guilloche with a patterning technique cufflinks.

Another person who opted to make a fashion statement with cufflinks was Keanu Reeves. He wore the deep color blue Cartier cufflinks made from white gold, diamonds and sapphires. Steve Carell also chose to wear diamond and platinum cufflinks made by Neil Lane. Another person, who was seen wearing Neil Lane, although not cufflinks but a lapel pin was Chris Noth!

Matt Damon too opted for cufflinks that were made of platinum, diamonds and black enamel and shirt studs to go with it. these were from Fred Leighton.

Tim McGraw wore quite a bit of jewelry. He wore a Cartier Tank Americaine watch, white gold with a diamond bezel and a black alligator strap. You will be quite flabbergasted to hear the cost, it retails at $41,850. McGraw also wore shirt studs and cufflinks fashioned from white gold, diamond and onyx, also by Cartier. Wow! Quite a bit of jewelry for sure!

Men’s jewelry and diamonds from the best of designers sparkled side by side. The handsome men’s club looked all the more dapper and dashing with the right formal wear and jewelry, just the right amount to accentuate it.

They certainly made the red carpet sparkle with the stars!

Versace Jewelry — Sparkly, Sizzling … Hot!

If you are a fashionable person … which we all are right?  Then you know all about Versace.  Versace is a brand that is edgy, classic and all around beautiful and that is exactly what comes across in their jewelry.  While I really did not know that Versace dipped their talents into jewelry too until this year, I thought I would show you one of their beautiful pieces!

This ring – topaz and while I am not the biggest fan of topaz rings, I have to say that the combination of white gold, diamonds and topaz is very, very beautiful.  Topaz is a fantastic ocean blue color that I seemed to have fallen in love with and if you look close – the perfectly cut V’s encased in diamonds really makes this Versace ring pop!

Vintage Jewelry — Let’s Chat About It!

Now that we have talked a little bit about vintage jewelry, I thought I would give you an example of what I am talking about.  These little earrings are something that are so chic and so vintage, it truly is crazy. 

Pearls are something that are always beautiful, always in fashion and can always spice up your look whenever you are trying to achieve something beautiful.  Tassel earrings, just like these ones are absolutely incredible and very rare to find.

Personally, I think that this pair of earrings is something to be treasured, not just something to be worn.  These particular earrings are from the Meriwether Estate Jewelry and are priced around $7,800.00.

Let’s Take A Step Back In Time…

There are some pieces of jewelry that are just absolutely timeless – to be honest, I think that these vintage pieces are more valuable than most of the diamonds in the world and that is saying something!  Vintage jewelry is something that is so precious, so incredible and so perfect that honestly, I think that people should invest in it more often.

Way back when – jewelry was something that people took pride in wearing and while that is still true in today’s world, I think that that the vintage jewelry age is something beautiful and people were not wearing jewelry for fashion, but rather to show the pieces themselves off.  Jewelry was something to be appreciated, not just another accessory to put on.

Although vintage jewelry is hard to find, once you do find it – it is something beautiful and lovely and something to be cherished!

Pearl Drop Earrings: Beautiful On Anne Hathaway!

Diamonds are a girl’s best friend – that is exactly what we have been told over and over and over again and honestly, I am slowly but surely starting to believe it … slowly.  However, now that I have seen these beautiful pearl, diamonds earrings on Anne Hathaway’s ears, I think that I believe it even more.  Diamonds are a fantastic accessory to anything and Anne just proved that earrings can be beautiful on any ears.

These drop down pearl earrings with diamonds along them are not only some of the fashion-forward looking pieces of jewelry, but they are pieces of jewelry that I instantly and totally fell in love with.  The fact that they are drop down earrings put the icing on the cake for me … add in the chic factor and you got me hooked!

Now, of course – for those of us that can not afford the real thing, there are plenty of ‘fake’ or ‘imitation’ earrings just like this that you can buy – however, the real thing is pretty incredible!

Winifred Grace Gundeck: This Chick Knows Accessories!

It is extremely rare in this day and age to find a designer that not only knows exactly how to create something beautiful, but a designer that actually knows exactly what she is doing.  That is what Winifred Grace Gundeck is all about.  This chick has been designing jewelry for quite some time now and while her degree is in Graphic Design, she has taken up jewelry making full-time as of 2003.  Her first inspirations were from all sorts of different and vibrant textures as well as some patterns found in nature and some art designs and tapestries.

If there is one jewelry trend that I have noticed this summer just grow and grow, it is going to be the black diamond ring.  To be honest, I have always thought that the black diamond is something that is absolutely beautiful to look at and something that is so different and so unique; it really does take a special person to wear a black diamonds.  What you might not know about this beautiful stones is that they are all natural diamonds that have been treated.
