Color Carnival Collage
Every changing season throws up a new color palette for the things that you wear including jewelry. What better color for Spring and Summer 2010 then the color that is inspired by the blazing sun in the sky.
The color carnival collage that we forecast will be seen out on the streets, on the runways and at any major do are going to be anything that is inspired by yellow. This could start off from the lowest range of the yellow spectrum and include neutrals, beiges and creams and go on to include the feistiest of oranges and reds with the right tinges of yellows to it.
All the colors that will be showcased and worn in the jewelry segment will cool your skin but certainly go on to heat up the way you look. There is bound to be an explosive mix of colors this season. It could be a white dress to ward off the sunlight and enough of color in your jewelry to keep the white from looking too washed out. You will certainly love this kind of combination wherein you needn’t feel the heat by wearing too many strong colors on your attire but at the same time add on the right amounts of color by way of your jewelry.
Now, if your heart is the kind that desires gemstones then you can have the most refreshing of yellow gemstones in your jewelry in the form of topaz, amber, citrine and cubic zircons that will put any citrus colors to shame. The yellow in your jewelry will bring to light the yellow of lemons, the yellow of a canary, and the yellow of see-through beads.
The best thing about this kind of fashion jewelry wardrobe is that you can team it up with anything in your closet and make a style statement.

Take this necklace – oh, I have to tell you that I am in love with this particular Ralph Lauren necklace.

The dramatic Alhambra Three Row Multi Bead Necklace actually contains a variety of colorful stones, which really sparkle and shimmer when it is whipping snow around outside.
The necklace is layered with three gold-plated chains and each of them is embellished with sparkling semi-precious faceted gemstones in all different shapes.

Let’s Take A Step Back In Time…
There are some pieces of jewelry that are just absolutely timeless – to be honest, I think that these vintage pieces are more valuable than most of the diamonds in the world and that is saying something! Vintage jewelry is something that is so precious, so incredible and so perfect that honestly, I think that people should invest in it more often.
Way back when – jewelry was something that people took pride in wearing and while that is still true in today’s world, I think that that the vintage jewelry age is something beautiful and people were not wearing jewelry for fashion, but rather to show the pieces themselves off. Jewelry was something to be appreciated, not just another accessory to put on.
Although vintage jewelry is hard to find, once you do find it – it is something beautiful and lovely and something to be cherished!

Ringed Up Necklaces: New Fashion Trend!
Let’s say that you are shopping for a ring – you find the perfect, one of a kind, beautiful, breathtaking ring that you want to buy … however, it does not fit. No matter how hard you try to get it to slide down your finger, it won’t. While you might want it, there is absolutely no way that it is going to fit on your finger and that is sad … right? Not anymore!
One of the newest trends in jewelry is ring necklaces. You take a bunch of rings that simply do not fit on your finger any longer, string them together on a long chain and poof! You got yourself a brand new piece of jewelry that is not only chic but also totally fashionable in every way possible!
The great thing about this brand new trend is that it gives you a chance to wear rings that you might not have worn in a very long time.

Janet Deleuse: Colorful, Chic, Sexy!
Are you looking for a little luck? Well, Janet Deleuse is the designer for you. Now, to me – this sort of looks like a five leaf clover, which I know is not the ‘lucky’ charm, however I think that this necklace looks pretty damn lucky. Not only is it done up in 18k yellow, rose and white gold, but it also has some blue in there, also some yellow and pink sapphires and to be honest … it looks breathtakingly beautiful!
This necklace, by Janet Deleuse is about 19 inches long, which is a fantastic length for a necklace in my mind and it has about 4.26 carats of sapphires in there. The price tag on this beautiful is $20,260.00 … that’s a lot of money but it is so, so worth it!
Remember, Janet Deleuse is the designer and she is one heck of a jewelry-maker in my book.

Kenneth Jay Lane Beaded Lariat Necklace: It’s Sexy!
Jewelry is something that you need to be able to wear all the time and truly with anything and to me – that is what lariats are all about. These beautiful necklaces are something that you can just throw on with anything from jeans and a tee shirt all the way to that cocktail dress that you have a very hard time dressing up. For those of you that do not know exactly what I am talking about, a lariat is actually a necklace – beaded usually that is very long that you can usually double up on your neck.
These long strands of beads can truly dress up any outfit and look amazing on you once you throw them on. Kenneth Jay Lane is the guy that we are talking about when we mention these particular types of necklaces because he is by far the master of them. Take this beautiful lariat for example – the beading on it is beautiful and I have to say that it looks great on!
Kenneth Jay Lane is a designer that has been around for a while and while most people do not know his work specifically, they do know his lariats!

Susan Wong’s Castaway Jewelry!
Personally, I think that designers of jewelry that are self-taught usually have a true appreciation for the jewelry that they are making and if they do make it big – it does not get to their head. That is exactly what happened to Susan Wong – she self-taught herself how to make many different pieces of jewelry and now that she is big in the business … she is still the same person and has not let anything go to her head.
Susan Wong to me is someone that really knows what she is doing whenever she is creating a piece of jewelry. Most of the time, her jewelry is going to be inspired by nature and she even uses a lot of nature in her pieces, which I think is beautiful. Her creations are more of the time composed by things like seashells and rocks and that is right up my ally.
Take this beautiful and dainty Pyrite Nugget & Sand Dollar Necklace – this really does bring some vintage to the ocean. The pyrite is the focal point and it is surrounded by three small crystal beads that look beautiful … you should see it up close.

Martin + Osa: Two Jewelry Designers, One Beautiful Piece!
While most people can not pull of a swaggy chain like this one form Martin + Osa, Carrie Underwood is one of the few celebrities that can and this particular chain was actually the center of attention when Carrie showed up at a recent Walt Disney World function. To be quite frank, I think that this beautiful Martin + Osa chain necklace is something special and something that can be worn every single day if you wanted to.
The elegant yet simple design overall is something that is beautiful and cool as well. This particular chain contains about right polished chains of various lengths. There are two tones of gold in this necklace and the closure is what is so beautiful – for it has the traditional Martin + Osa logo bullet and has a lobster clasp claw.
If you want to make a statement, this is by far one of the greatest ways to do it – it also comes in silver! And guess the price … it is only about $39.50!

Simmons Penny Pendants: They Are SO Cool!
This season is filled with all sorts of different jewelry for the summer and to be honest, I think that the jewelry that I am most in awe of is going to be the Simmons Penny Pendants.
These incredible pieces of jewelry are definitely beautiful and they are a conversation piece. They all have a little sterling silver purse with a penny tucked right inside. Dana Michele is the designer behind the name and it’s pretty obvious that she is going places when she comes up with things like this.
To me, this little purse pendant is something that is so beautiful, so cool and it is a trade off of the old lucky penny bit. Now, you will never lose your lucky penny!

Jill Pearson For Wasabi: Check This Rainbow Out!
One thing that I have noticed in the way of trends for jewelry is that people are constantly looking to make it colorful and make it chunky. That is exactly what Jill Pearson has done here with this beautiful Multi-Bead Dangle Necklace from Wasabi. This in particular necklace is something that is so beautiful yet so casual, it really does pop whenever it’s on your neck.
